Based on Kate Davis' 2001 Sundance Award-winning documentary, SOUTHERN COMFORT is a courageous, heart-soaring musical that tells the true story of a group of transgender friends living life on their own terms in the back hills of rural Georgia. This folk and bluegrass-inspired musical is a celebration of redefining family and choosing love over every obstacle.
In twentieth century media, something that's often called for (and only sometimes applauded) is diversity. Stagecrafters' production of Southern Comfort, which runs through May 12th at the Baldwin Theatre's 2nd Stage, is an excellent representation of how diversity in the media can only lead to beautiful stories and even more beautiful storytelling.
Stagecrafters proudly presents Southern Comfort on Stagecrafters 2nd Stage, Friday, April 26, through Sunday, May 12, 2019.
