Go Comedy! Kicks of 2013 With LAME DUCK SOUP, 1/17

On Thursday, January 17 Go Comedy! will debut its 10th original sketch comedy revue, Lame Duck Soup. The show will appear Thursday and Friday nights at 8:00pm joining the improv theater's weekly schedule featuring the Go Comedy! All Star Showdown, and other improvised shows Wednesday - Sunday evenings. Tickets ($5-$15) are on sale now online at www.gocomedy.net or in person at the Go Comedy! box office beginning at 6:00pm Wednesday through Sunday evening. Lame Duck Soup
A collection of hilarious scenes ranging from movie icons & mythological creatures to neighbors and new love, Lame Duck Soup will serve up a cocktail of comedy sending audiences home shaken and stirred. Written by and featuring Jen Hansen (Madison Heights), Erik Heilner (Howell), Pj Jacokes (Ferndale), Brian Papandrea (Sterling Heights), Carrie Parmenter (Southfield) and Chris Petersen (Ypsilanti), the show is directed by Pete Jacokes (Ferndale) and will play Thursday and Friday nights at 8:00pm January 17 - February 28. Tickets are $15 with a special $10 preview performance on Friday, January 11 at 8:00pm.

Go Comedy! All Star Showdown
With a rotating cast of more than 20 of Detroit's best improvisers and a repertoire of hundreds of improv games, Go Comedy!'s signature show, The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown celebrated its fourth anniversary in November. It has anchored the theater's weekly schedule since opening in November 2008, making it Detroit's longest running show. Two teams of Detroit's best improvisers go head to head in an improv competition tailored to challenge their abilities, think on their feet and give audiences a roaring good time. The cast also plays for audience members who take home fabulous prizes when their team wins. Tickets are $15 for performances at 10:00pm Friday and 8:00pm and 10:00pm on Saturdays.
