Performance Network's RED Extended thru June 3

(5/15/2012) In response to demand for tickets, Performance Network Theatre is extending the critically acclaimed drama, “Red,” for one week only. Written by John Logan, “Red” will now run through Sunday, June 3, at which time it must close to make way for the summer comedy, “In the Next Room or the vibrator play.” “Red” is directed by Carla Milarch and stars Mark Rademacher and Kevin Young.

Two Muses Theatre Presents SYLVIA 6/07-7/01

(5/15/2012) West Bloomfield, Mich.-based Two Muses Theatre, a nonprofit, professional theatre is partnering with the Michigan Humane Society to present Sylvia by A.R. Gurney, a modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog. The show will be performed on Friday and Saturday evenings from June 8-July 1, as well as Sunday matinees. There will be one Saturday matinee on June 9 and no Sunday matinee on June 10.

(5/12/2012) Tonight, May 12, 2012, at 8 p.m., the unprecedented pairing of Kid Rock, Leonard Slatkin - "America's Music Director" - and the men and women of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will take the stage of Detroit's historic Fox Theatre for a one-night only fundraising concert to raise critical funds for the legendary orchestra. The idea was originally conceived by Kid Rock and Rock Ventures Founder Dan Gilbert to help save the DSO. The New Theatre Project Cancels THE TEMPEST PROJECT; Sets New Work Concert for 6/1-3

(5/2/2012) The New Theatre Project has announced the cancellation of its current production of THE TEMPEST PROJECT. But the Ensemble is concocting another project, set for June 1-3 at 8 pm. The evening will be a concert of new work to feature original songs and spoken word material. The Ensemble of The Tempest Project will also perform pieces regarding their experience with the show, musings on the mixed blessings of failure, and ultimately performing some select material they have written for the play that we will never see.
