While many theatres close for the summer months, Performance Network is full steam ahead, offering audiences an array of entertainment options, including the upcoming Fireside Festival of New Works. As part of the theatre's continued dedication to support and provide a voice for playwrights, the series will be held today, June 24 through June 27, 2012. This festival of staged readings will feature new works by four playwrights, including Network regulars Joseph Zettelmaier and Kim Carney.

The production closes October 9, 2011 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The Press Opening is Monday, September 19, 2011.

Due to great responses from both critics and audiences, Performance Network Theatre will extend its production of the romantic historical fiction 'Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh' by Joel Gross. This production will now run through September 4.

Hear the story leading up to this monumental moment in Joel Gross's 'Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh,' which begins in previews on July 28 at Performance Network Theatre. This sexy drama, running through August 28, will feature Jill Dion, Drew Parker ('The Sins of Sor Juana') and Chelsea Sadler ('The Little Dog Laughed'), as Marie. It is directed by Shannon Ferrante.

The Chicago premiere of In Darfur by Winter Miller, directed by Nick Bowling, joins three previously released titles: The Chicago premiere of Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, the world premiere of Mastering the Art by William Brown and Doug Frew, and The Front Page by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.

The production will run January 13 - February 13, 2011 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. Performances are Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 pm, and Sundays at 2:30 and 7:30 pm. Tickets range from $30-$60.
