GI Film Festival San Diego's Full Film Lineup Includes 34 Untold, Diverse Military Stories

The fourth annual GI Film Festival San Diego is getting ready to roll from Tuesday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018. Organizers have once again curated a film lineup to feature the untold and underrepresented stories of America's military through film. The six-day San Diego military film festival features 34 films, including nine world premieres and five West Coast premieres, as well as several screenings, filmmaker appearances, and panel discussions. GI Film Festival San Diego attendees have opportunities to watch the films, meet filmmakers and film subjects, and have conversations to tackle topics that are usually unspoken.

The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 13 - September 27. Opening night is Sunday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale on Friday, August 8 at noon.

As Nicely 'Taxman' Jean of and Annya Bright (of Burt Renolds Film Institute) both residents Boynton Beach prepare for the Hollywood style premiere of '2057 RETURN TO ZOMBIE ISLAND' a sequel which is he stars in, Palm Beach County's skies will envy the shinning star! The sci-fi film is set in a post apocalyptic future after The Asian Powers dropped weapons of mass destruction on the world in 2045, payback for the bombs dropped in Japan in 1945. As the war nearly destroyed everything, people are living like they did “back in the past”. Some including the Corporal (Nicely 'TaxMan' Jean) still maintain their military outfits even though there's no more real armies or countries.
