Finding Neverland Photos - US Tour

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Barrie, the boy who refused to grow up has been associated with books, plays, films, costumes, art work, a television series, and music, as well as having his name given to a race horse, a food product, a bus line, an emergency health rescue service, a psychological syndrome, and a rock band.

The new musical, A SCYTHE OF TIME is being presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre festival at the June Havoc Theatre (312 W 36th Street). A SCYTHE OF TIME is written by Alan Harris with music and lyrics by Mark Alan Swanson. It will be directed by David Alpert (IF/THEN), with musical direction by Ryan Cantwell (National Tour: Pippin, Finding Neverland). The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016' - a lunchtime series that continued this week, July 14 on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11.

Chita Rivera, fresh from her appearance on The Tony Awards Sunday, presented her old-friend Sound Designer Abe Jacob  the Lifetime Achievement Award.  They've known each other for more than 40 years since the original Broadway production of CHICAGO in 1975. Check out photos below!

The cast of the new Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown set down tracks for the new cast recording on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Avatar Studios. Broadway Records will release the 2016 Off-Broadway cast recording, now available for pre-order at broadwayrecords.com and Amazon, and will be available on iTunes and other retailers on September 16, 2016. Legendary scenic and costume designer, MICHAEL YEARGAN (currently represented on Broadway with Fiddler on the Roof and The King and I), and costume designer SUSAN TSU were among the 2016 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients on Friday, May 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). TUCK EVERLASTING, the new musical based on Natalie Babbitt's beloved best-selling novel of the same name, is currently playing at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). With direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon), Tuck Everlasting will officially open on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. FINDING NEVERLAND, the story of how Peter became Pan, celebrated the arrival of its three latest stars following the performance on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Three time Tony Award-nominee Marc Kudisch, Sally Ann Triplett, and Tony Award-winner Alfie Boe celebrated with the rest of the company over a slice of Neverland themed cake, courtesy of The Cake Boss. On April 4th, 2016, Sing For Your Seniors (SFYS) hosted the latest in its series of Broadway sessions with cast members from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF for the patients of Calvary Cancer Hospital. The musical performance included songs of the performers' choosing as well of songs from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Patients and their families, nurses, doctors and staff enjoyed a one-hour session, as well as a meet-and-greet visit with the cast following the performance. Scroll down for photos from the event!

On March 14th, 2016, CABARET FOR A CAUSE was held at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Young performers from the Broadway community gathered to raise money for Story Shifters, a theatre residency for students with physical, medical and neurological impairments. The sold-out audience at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre was dazzled last night, March 21, 2016, by this year's stirring edition of Broadway Backwards. The annual celebration, where men sing songs originally written for women and vice versa offering this audience the chance to see LGBT stories told through the great songs of musical theatre, set a new fundraising record. The evening raised an incredible $480,287 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. The wait is over! Sandy Duncan, the beloved stage and screen actress known for her magical, high-flying, Tony-nominated performance as 'Peter Pan' on Broadway, has returned to Neverland.

FINDING NEVERLAND has found its new leading man! Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck (On The Town) just took over the role of Peter Pan creator J.M. Barrie in the smash hit, record-breaking Broadway musical last night, January 26, 2016. The production plays at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenues). The 2016 KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY National Ambassadors Kelli O'Hara and Marlee Matlin just announced that the 20th Kids' Night on Broadway will take place in New York City on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016, BroadwayWorld has confirmed.
