An elaborate game of cat and mouse is set to open on the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) mainstage with the February 8 premiere of Sleuth.
What did our critic think of SLEUTH at Arts Court Theatre? Ottawa’s Classic Theatre Festival’s second show of the summer is currently underway with its production of Sleuth. Written by Anthony Shaffer, Sleuth was first presented in Britain in early 1970 before transferring to the U.S. later that year.
Ensemble Theatre Company (ETC) presents the fifth and final show of its 2021-2022 Season, one of the most iconic and celebrated thrillers ever written, SLEUTH, by Anthony Shaffer and directed by Jenny Sullivan. SLEUTH begins previews on Thursday, June 9 at 7:30pm, opens on Saturday, June 11 at 8:00pm and runs through Sunday, June 26, 2022 at The New Vic, 33 W. Victoria Street in Santa Barbara.
Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2019-20 season with the ultimate whodunit thriller, Sleuth. The world-class production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 14 - March 8, 2020. Great Lakes Theater's Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production.
Anthony Shaffer's Tony Award winning Sleuth is to be adapted by Murphy Ra Entertainment, taking the male role of Milo Tindle and shifting the character to become Bella Lanson, an actress. The swap will create added challenges to the older character of Jack Guest (previously Andrew Wyke) on new levels of gender and patriarchy, on top of the twisty game play the original script is so famous for.

I have been a huge fan of both Wil Love and Carl Schurr for many years. They are currently both performing in Everyman Theatre's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST which ends its run Dec. 30, 2018. They have become two patriarchs of the Baltimore theatre scene. Since their meeting at Center Stage in 1971, they have performed, produced, and adapted hundreds of performances both regionally and nationally. Now in their 10th year as Resident Company Members at Everyman Theatre, Wil and Carl have plenty of war stories and advice to share.
