Today in Times Square, famed Q104 classic rock radio host Jim Kerr climbed out onto the marquee of Hard Rock Cafe to announce that the five-time Tony Award-nominated musical ROCK OF AGES will return to the New York stage this summer in a special 10th Anniversary Production at New World Stages (340 W 50th St). To mark the announcement, and the milestone anniversary, he was joined by alumni from throughout the musical's Broadway run, who performed 'Don't Stop Believin' live above Times Square. The return production of the musical - produced by Michael Cohl/S2BN Entertainment in association with Barry Habib, Scott Prisand/Seth Fass, Tony Smith, and Randi Zuckerberg/Mara Burros-Sandler - begins performances on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, for a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, September 29, 2019. Underscore Theatre Company, in association with Harborside Films, is pleased to present the Chicago premiere of TONYA AND NANCY: THE ROCK OPERA, a dark musical comedy based on the infamous 1990's Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan "knee whack" ice skating scandal. With book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle, music by Michael Teoli, direction and choreography by Jon Martinez and musical direction by Aaron Benham, TONYA AND NANCY will play November 26 - December 30, 2016 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. TRIP OF LOVE, the dance musical spectacle celebrating the biggest hits of the '60s, is proud to have celebrated 100 performances this Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Following the matinee performance, the company celebrated the milestone with tie-dye cupcakes to match the show's '60s style. Roundabout Theatre Company announced the full cast this July for the new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It's ROCK OF AGES, a hilarious, feel-good love story told through the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more. Direct from Broadway, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis of 'American Idol' fame will reprise his acclaimed performance as Drew in this first National Tour, playing the National Theatre beginning July 12 for two weeks only.

In celebration of the reopening of Rock of Ages at the Helen Hayes Theatre, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister was honored with a certificate naming him the show's worldwide ambassador during a celebration held at Bowlmor Lanes Times Square this past Friday. Snider, whose music is featured in the hit Broadway show (‘I Wanna Rock' and ‘We're Not Gonna Take It'), recently played the character of 'Dennis' for an 11 week run before the show went dark last fall in anticipation of its move to the Helen Hayes Theatre.

Last week, Constantine Maroulis, former American Idol contestant and ROCK OF AGES leading man, spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming Rock of Ages film and what he thinks of the casting news and rumors. 'I think the guy's amazing, and I think he would just crush it,' he said of Tom Cruise, who is in the final stages of being cast as Stacee Jaxx, as Broadway World reported this morning. '[Stacee Jaxx] would be a great role for him because he can use all his ability and put it into this character.' Well, Tom brough his family to see the show in LA this weekend and here's a photo of the pair together!
